Ok, you know one of our jobs at Achievable Fashion is to report anything that will us help Real Women with fashion,we sift through the nonsense and pull out what is useful. Here is something we LOVE. The instant button. Looking at this I am wondering where has this been for the last 41 years of my life. This is a button that you can use to either take away or add to the waist of your pants. I swear I think I can gain or lose 5lbs a day depending on how I breathe, forget about when I scarf down a dozen cider doughnuts. I think most of us go up and down 6 – 8lbs. (If you are one of the lucky ones that stays the same all the time, good for you, tune in tomorrow when we can help you, yes you hear sarcasm.) I know instead of looking for fixes in our waistline we should probably get a grip on our eating, but reality leans toward a life filled with ups and downs on the scale, so here is the answer – The Instant Button! This is the perfect time of year to have this too! So I say to all of you, and myself, who are trying to steer clear of the cider doughnuts, Doughnuts for All!

Trend Tuesday – 2010 Fall Trend Report

Okay, now that the kids are back to school and we have had some time to breathe, its time for us Real Women to update our wardrobes for the fall 2010 season. One of the reasons I created Achievable Fashion is to give Real Women a place to go to quickly learn what the hottest trends are. The last thing any of us busy women can do is spend hours searching on line or through a sea of fashion magazines to find out what the fashion world tells us we need, most of which will not work for us anyway. I love fashion, but for the most part the fashion industry has forgotten that Real Women don’t walk on Runways! And since most of us are Real Women luckily there is Achievable Fashion! Trend Tuesday – Fur Is Here!

Fur is huge this season! I am surprised to say that real fur has made a huge comeback. We are seeing fur everywhere – trimmings on collars and hats along with vests, coats and much more. If you are not a fan of real fur there are many fake fur versions for you. Fur is a great way to fall / winterize your wardrobe. Grab anything with fur, a scarf , vest, sweater or coat and add it into your Basic Classic Wardrobe -off you go down Trendy Lane!

Fashion Friday – Annie Get Your Gun

Happy Labor Day weekend! If you are like me, you are thinking where did the summer go??? As usual I feel like it was just May. Time flying by, they say, is the number one sign of getting older. Here is a fun fall fashion look we saw on the Betsey Johnson Fall 2010 Runway! When I saw this look I immediately thought Annie Oakley and although I knew her name I did not know much else about her except that I probably should not have a shoot down with her.
