Achievable Fashion was created to make life simple.  We all crave simplicity,  that’s what most magazines and TV shows are telling us. When I look at this photo I get a feeling of peace. And  although my 5 year old has turned my kitchen into a railroad station, with Geo Trax from one end to the other, I can look at this photo and sneak in a moment of serenity.

Useful / Fun Magazine Articles: We Love Denim!

We Love Denim

Since 1873 when Levi’s introduced the first  jeans, riveted 501s, denim has been a staple in our wardrobes. This year jean lovers can rejoice as their favorite makes a huge splash for spring and summer. If you can’t get enough denim we recommend Denim A to Z (pages 159 – 166) in the June issue of In Style, a fun article that showcases 26 points of denim. We also liked the trend alert Distressed Denim Cutoffs in  the  June / July People Style Watch. (page 50)

Achievable Fashions’ Favorite 5 Denim Looks

Baggy – We all need a pair of jeans that work no matter what time of the month it is.

Wear these with a fitted top to balance

Frayed –  This  look that is very now!

Rolled up –   This is a great way to get different looks from the same pair of jeans. Roll up any pair of jeans wear with heels for a retro look , with flats for a more casual look.

Cutoffs – These can be dressed up or down. Baggy top with heels to dinner, T- shirt and flats  to a picnic.

High waist  – Add a tapered leg and bring back the 70’s. Wear these with pumps for an exaggerated look.

Stop hating yourself in a bathing suit!

There aren’t many of us who love ourselves in a bathing suit. We must learn to highlight our best features and hide our less than perfect ones. Here is a great article from Good Housekeeping on how to camouflage our unloved parts.
