Drop a Decade with the Right Style!

I love this article. Why?  Because I see so many make the fashion mistakes that are highlighted in it.

Ridding ourselves of that closet full of clothes and nothing to wear is first and foremost about getting rid of anything that does not belong in the closet!

As you will see in this article, certain mistakes can not only destroy our hopes of mastering fashion – but will also add a decade to our age. Ouch! So, we know for sure we want to avoid them!

Achievable Fashion Loves the Carrie Necklace!

Sex and the City represented so many things to so many. For me, it represented and still represents the ultimate bond that women share.  No matter where or what life brings us, great friends are there every step of the journey.

It is hard to talk about Sex and the City and not mention the Carrie Necklace.  I can’t think of another piece of jewelry that has so much meaning attached to it.  The Carrie Necklace represents friendships, independence, strength, and being true to who you are.  I think the Carrie Necklace, is a reminder that no matter how many roles I play, mother, friend, daughter, teacher, sister, etc. I must remain true to myself.  I have to remain me, who I am, what I want, and what I believe. If we are true to ourselves, we can then excel in all our roles.

 

Do you recall when Carrie lost her necklace? I remember the desperation I felt for Carrie when she thought she lost her necklace.  It wasn’t about the necklace; it was about Carrie losing herself.

 

I think every woman should have a Carrie Necklace.  I think she should wear it once in a while as a reminder to stay true to herself.  If we stay true to ourselves, no matter what roles we play we never lose who we are!

I love this article in Lucky Mag, “Find the Perfect: Bra”.  Why? Because I don’t think any of us really know how to select a bra!  Sometimes I think I get it right and other times I feel like I look sloppy on top.  The funny thing is, when I get it right and buy a great bra, I have no idea why I got it right, so getting it right again is a crapshoot!

 

Since finding the perfect bra is really hard, any info on the subject is great.  I don’t think I, or anyone else, can get enough hints on how to select the perfect bra.  This article has great tips on the subject.

 

Add a Printed Scarf to your Closet!

Prints are hot right now.  Here is how we saw  prints walk down the runway.

Call me crazy, but I think these are overkill for the average woman.  In my quest to bring the Runway to Real life I came across these fabulous scarves.  I think they are a great way to  add prints to our lives.   There is no need to be dressed head to toe in any given trend.  A simple printed scarf can do the  trick! In fact most of the time I think less is way more when it comes to adding trends into your life!

Achievable Fashion is not interested in recreating the wheel.  We are interested in finding really great fashion information and placing it in one place so that real women can have access to it!  We find it, report it, and link to it so you can read it.

Cardigans are a Bit Wild These Days!

                                                                                                                                                             For the most part cardigans can get a bit boring.  I am not saying that any closet can be without a black button down cardigan.  I am saying that although a black cardigan is an essential wardrobe item and part of the Achievable Fashion Basic Classic Wardrobe, once in a while we need to take a ride on Fashion Daring Boulevard.
