We have all wondered from time to time if our hems are the correct length.  This Dear Lucky has great tips on where our hems should sit.  It reviews where your hem should hit your shoe on straight-leg, skinny, wide-leg and baggy/boyfriend pants.

During my search this month I came across a beautiful Tacori ad with stunning rings.   Tacori is an amazing jeweler.  Their pieces are beautiful with the utmost attention to detail.  This beauty and attention to detail comes with a matching price tag.

One of our jobs at Achievable Fashions   is to make fashion attainable to all women.  For those of us who can’t afford a ring that is more than our mortgage, I found one we can afford at Fantasy Jewelry Box.   This pink ring from fantasy jewelry box has a similar look and feel  to the Tacori ring, but has a more attainable price tag.

Is our version and exact match? No – but for the price it works the same!

How To – What Shoes and Tights With This Skirt?

I know I have said this before but I need to say it again, I love Real Simple Magazine! Each month when I do the searching, sorting and reporting I can always count on Real Simple for useful fashion information!

The sub article, “3 annoying problems and how to solve them” from the Dec 2011 article, “Fit Lab Party Skirts” – answers 3 common fashion questions. What shoes do I wear with what skirt?  Do I go with Basic or fun tights?  And lastly, where have all the plus size party skirts gone?

We have all been there, standing in front of the mirror half-dressed wondering, what shoes and what tights do I wear with this skirt?  Now, I am not one to say you always have to follow fashion rules, but I am one to say you should know the rules. The rules in this article are a good guide to go by.   If you know the rules when and if you decide to break them – you are aware of what you are doing.    I call that having your guns loaded.

The coveted article of the month goes to, Lucky Magazine’s “45 Amazing New Ways to Get Dressed in the Morning”.  So, exactly what is the article of the month?  The Achieve Fashion Magazine is a collection of the most useful fashion information.  Information for real women.  Each month I search and sort through the sea of fashion information available and report just the useful stuff.   I think sometimes the fashion industry forgets that most women are real women and not supermodels or ultra-rich.    

 We know real women do not have time to search the sea of fashion info out there, so we do it for you.     After the searching,  sorting and reporting is done, we select the info we feel is most useful and give it the coveted, “Article of the Month” award!

If you are familiar with Achievable Fashion then you know this article is right up our ally!  If you are new to us, you should know that our mission is to rid every woman of her closet full of clothes and nothing to wear.  We believe less is more when it comes to clothing and are dedicated to help real women become fashion savvy. 

This article is perfect.   It shows how to get 45 outfits from 19 pieces.  The 19 pieces are a collection of basic wardrobe essentials and trends from this season.  If you have built your Basic Classic Wardrobe with our book- then you already have some key pieces. If you haven’t built your Basic Classic Wardrobe yet, what are you waiting for???

 When following along with this article don’t be afraid to substituted pieces. For example, I do not have a polka-dotted dress but I do have a LBD (thanks to the Achievable Fashion Basic Classic Wardrobe.) So where the polka-dotted dress is shown I substitute my LBD. 

The key, as always, is to make sure the pieces you have fit you like a glove and make you look and feel amazing!  If you don’t like how a piece fits and looks, you won’t wear it and it will become part of your closet full of clothes and nothing to wear!  Friendly reminder, it’s that closet full of clothes and nothing to wear, we are all trying to avoid!
