Get Kim Kardashians’ Casual Look!

Achievable Fashion is all about helping woman achieve effortless fashion. Our main goal is to get women to build a Basic Classic Wardrobe (BCW) as outlined in our book, “Achievable Fashion”. We are 100% confident that doing so will help you love your closet and put an end to the “closet full of clothes and nothing to wear” syndrome we all seem to have.  Our secondary goal is to help women add current trends into their BCW, easily and inexpensively. Here is a great way to add the casual look of the military jacket, Kim is wearing, to your wardrobe. I am not sure if you have picked up an Avon Book lately, but really this is Not your mothers Avon! This in the trenches jacket is only $40.00! Visit AVON click shop now and search in the trenches jacket!

Trend Tuesday – 2010 Fall Trend Report

Okay, now that the kids are back to school and we have had some time to breathe, its time for us Real Women to update our wardrobes for the fall 2010 season. One of the reasons I created Achievable Fashion is to give Real Women a place to go to quickly learn what the hottest trends are. The last thing any of us busy women can do is spend hours searching on line or through a sea of fashion magazines to find out what the fashion world tells us we need, most of which will not work for us anyway. I love fashion, but for the most part the fashion industry has forgotten that Real Women don’t walk on Runways! And since most of us are Real Women luckily there is Achievable Fashion! Here’s what we need to know for the season so far – Yes, these are the fun , don’t work for most, runway versions, visit us each week as we show you how to add these trends into your Achievable Fashion Basic Classic Wardrobe – still need to build your Basic Classic Wardrobe, What are you Waiting For???

Fur is huge this season! I am surprised to say that real fur has made a huge comeback. We are seeing fur everywhere – trimmings on collars and hats along with vests, coats and much more. If you are not a fan of real fur there are many fake fur versions for you. Fur is a great way to fall / winterize your wardrobe. Grab anything with fur, a scarf , vest, sweater or coat and add it into your Basic Classic Wardrobe -off you go down Trendy Lane!

Trend Tuesday – 3 Color Trend

Good morning. The aisles at Staples and Target are filled with parents and children searching for items on the dreaded school list. A Tell tale sign that the calendar is about to turn to September. I don’t know about you, but I feel like Memorial Day was yesterday. Oh well, as they say onward! Two great things about September and back to school are the promise of crisp days and flipping though fall fashion magazines to learn how we will be dressing. I am extremely excited this year, I have my Basic Classic Wardrobe down so updating my closet will be a cinch. I know real women are not ready for fall shopping yet but here are 3 colors we will be seeing when we journey to the mall this fall / winter 2010. Picture of the Week

Happy Monday, it’s hard to believe summer is in its last few weeks. I love this picture, for me, it represents what summer is all about. The ocean, sun, sand , fun and of coarse, whimsy. I don’t think there is one of us who hasn’t drawn a heart in the sand at some point in our lives. Looking at this photo reminds me of the countless summers with my family, at the Jersey shore, spending the entire day at the beach with a swarm of family and friends. Those days are long gone but the memories only a photo away. Enjoy!

Well happy Monday morning? Today I will be completing my last day of a three day training, so I have not had the luxury of enjoying a normal weekend. The training was wonderful, I meet great people, learned some tips on how to execute a better class, so I am not complaining about going, I am just a little off because I have not had my normal weekend where I get to wander around, do as I please, and savor my no need to look at a clock time. Having said that, I am enjoying my me time this morning , coffee in hand getting my photo of the week together. Does anything say renewal more than spring? Does anything say spring more than sight of tulips? We are so lucky in Albany to have an amazing display of tulips each year. Today’s photo of the week was taken this year. These tulips remind me of angels.

If you are a tulip lover like me, you must check out Angela Caputo’s collection of photo from this years Tulip Feast. Have a great day!

Happy Monday, and so the work week begins! What does this beautiful photo have to do with fashion? Nothing, and everything. Achievable Fashion was created to make life simple, in making life simple we get peace and serenity, the very peace and serenity we get from this photo. So here I sit at 5am, while the rest of the house sleeps, enjoying my coffee, this photo and the few minutes of peace that will carry me through the day! Enjoy!

Alison's Makeup Tips

Freelance make up artist Allison Provenzano – tip of the day.

If your have close set eyes – put a light / shimmery shadow on the inside corners of the eyes. The lightness will give the illusion that the eyes are farther apart. Keep the dark liners and shadows on the outer eye!

Try Avon’s – Big Color Pencil in “Vanilla”

or

Laura Geller’s – “Sugar Baked Pearl” shadow.
