I love this article in Glamour Magazine, “7 Celebrity-Inspired Ways to Update Your Office Wardrobe for Spring.”  With Achievable Fashion I am always trying to prove that fashion can be simple and attainable for all. 

If our closets are stocked with essential wardrobe basics aka, The Achievable Fashion Basic Classic Wardrobe – then we are set to take a drive down Trendy Lane.  

If our closets are not stocked with essential wardrobe basics then we will most likely be stuck on I Have a Closet Full of Clothes and Nothing to Wear Boulevard – which quickly turns into Frustration Drive!

 I love this FENDI bag.  I found it while flipping through the latest fashion magazine, I would tell you which magazine but I forgot which one.  Isn’t this bag gorgeous?  I know that FENDI is a designer name that won’t fit into my budget. I couldn’t find the exact bag to price it.  I did price similar bags and they $3500.00, yikes!

I’m not sure about you, but that is not even a possibility for me.  Since my gut tells me that $3500.00 for a bag won’t work for most,  I found a fabulous alternative.  That’s my gig.  I interpret fashion for the masses, make it budget freindly for all – thus achievable!

I found this great FENDI alternative at  Fashlets I love  Fashlets!  They have great bags for great prices.  Many of their bags are inspired by today’s hottest trends.

How to get the BASLER Look for Less!

 

I love these looks by BASLER “ripped” from the March issue of Bazar.  I could not find the exact items to give you and exact prices.  What I can tell you is that a similar tweed jacket from BASLER is over $1,000 dollars and separate pieces I have found are around $400 or so.  Making the outfit in the middle, give or take, in the $1800 range.  (And that is minus shoes)

 So having flipped through the latest fashion mag, I found a fabulous look I love – as I usually do, the challenge is I can’t afford $1800 for a top, jacket and pants.  I have to believe that the masses cannot either. 

 Achievable Fashion to the rescue!  I found some neat alternatives. I could not replicate the look exactly; in fact this took some digging.   I found some great tweed jackets and some great floral tops that can be combined to get the same look and feel!

 

White and Black Mod Love

I love what I do at Achievable Fashion.  I really consider Achievable Fashion the bridge that connects the runways and magazines to real women’s closets. 

Here is a trend I ripped from the March issue of Bazar Magazine. I love the sharpness of black and white.

 

The challenge is, the cheapest item on this page is Coach ring for $88. And I cannot buy an $88 ring!  The next cheapest item is $345. Then the items climb in price steadily until we reach $4500 – for a bag that is smaller than my wallet! Yikes!  Okay I am not implying that there is anything wrong if you are in this spending bracket – I just know that most of us are not!

Gold Eyes!

Tis the season for shimmer! Look at this beautiful gold on the models eye.  Gold is everywhere and always a great holiday trend.

 Ripped from the December Allure issue, this trend is easy to achieve. All you need is a gold shadow and off you go. 

 For a more intense look layer a cream gold shadow with a powder shadow.

Hair Trends From the 2013 Spring Runways!

 

My mission with Achievable Fashion and the Achievable Fashion Report is to have one place to report trends. Along with reporting trends I make them user friendly and find what you need to achieve them. It has always been my belief that fashion and beauty is just too complicated for the average. First of all, no one has the time to find out what is going on – not to mention figure out how to make it friendly.  

 

Let’s talk about these cool new waves we are seeing.  I ripped this trend from the December Allure Issue.  This wave is very relaxed, very casual – these looks are from the spring 2013 runways.

MICHAEL KORS Red Quilted Bag!

I love this red quilted MICHAEL KORS bag!  I love everything about it!  Well, almost everything.  I don’t love the price tag, for me.  Let me be clear about this, I absolutely believe it is worth every penny.  For those who can comfortably afford it, I say run – don’t walk – to the nearest store you can purchase it at and get it!

 

For those, like me, who can’t spend $500 on one bag there are alternatives.  That’s the whole point to Achievable Fashion.  It is my goal to make fashion achievable to everyone. When I flip through the magazines instead of passing by things I can’t afford in disappointment; I take notes and find other great options.

 

Sometimes, the fashion world forgets that the average women cannot drop $500 on one item – okay let’s be real they always forget we can’t!  So luckily there is Achievable Fashion – and me!

 

When I find alternatives I am not looking to find exact duplicates of things.  I am looking to find items that will give the same look and feel as the original.

Here are three choices I found to give the feel of the MICHEAL KORS red quilted bag.

       

Cardigans are a Bit Wild These Days!

                                                                                                                                                             For the most part cardigans can get a bit boring.  I am not saying that any closet can be without a black button down cardigan.  I am saying that although a black cardigan is an essential wardrobe item and part of the Achievable Fashion Basic Classic Wardrobe, once in a while we need to take a ride on Fashion Daring Boulevard.

Glitter is a hot trend now.  We ripped this page from Lucky Magazine.  Achievable Fashion can always count on Lucky Mag for great information to report. 

  Glitter is fun, eye-catching and oh so easy to add to your wardrobe. Once considered for night only, glitter is now fashionable during the day.

How you add glitter to your wardrobe and life is as individual as you are.  Just remember overdoing it may have people thinking, did she miss her bus to Atlantic City???

During my search this month I came across a beautiful Tacori ad with stunning rings.   Tacori is an amazing jeweler.  Their pieces are beautiful with the utmost attention to detail.  This beauty and attention to detail comes with a matching price tag.

One of our jobs at Achievable Fashions   is to make fashion attainable to all women.  For those of us who can’t afford a ring that is more than our mortgage, I found one we can afford at Fantasy Jewelry Box.   This pink ring from fantasy jewelry box has a similar look and feel  to the Tacori ring, but has a more attainable price tag.

Is our version and exact match? No – but for the price it works the same!
