Apply Color Theory to Eye Shadow – Beauty Report Article of the Month!

I have found the first Achievable Fashion Beauty Report Article of the Month! (I am so excited!)

Let’s review who gets the coveted Article of the Month Award. As you know, I spend my time trolling the web and flipping through magazines to find useful information that will help women along their fashion and beauty journey. I decided to do this because whenever I needed fashion or beauty information I would search for hours only to come up with a bunch of nonsense. Nonsense that was geared for the ultra-young, ultra – rich, ultra – beautiful and ultra – thin.

I became overwhelmed, confused and annoyed every time I needed information on either fashion or beauty. Because I was overwhelmed, confused and annoyed I thought others might be too. Because the fashion and beauty world seemed to cater to the “Ultras “of the world I decided to create a website that would cater to everyday women, which I affectionately refer to as the masses! With that, I have made it my job to sift through the sea of fashion and beauty information, throw out the nonsense and report the useful stuff, you know the stuff we real ladies – the masses – can use. Whatever article I feel is the most useful of the articles I find each month gets the coveted Article of the Month Award!

Any who, back to the first ever Beauty Article of the Month. I love this article, “Handy Hint – Makeup Color Wheels.” I love it because I don’t think many of us know what we are doing when it comes to selecting eye shadow. I know that before I began researching makeup, what colors to wear, how to apply, should I wear shimmer, etc. I had no clue what I was doing. All I knew was that some days my eye makeup looked good and other days it did not. I had absolutely no clue why it looked good sometimes or why it looked horrid other times.

When it comes to making our eyes look amazing there are many things we need to know. One of the things we need to know is which colors work best for the color of our eyes. Although there are not hard core rules these days when it comes to eye shadow color, there are some definite colors that will highlight your eyes and make them pop! Utilizing color theory when selecting eye shadow will have your eyes standing out, not the eye shadow.

Although using color theory when selecting eye shadow color will have our eyes looking there best, color theory is not something we usually associate with eye shadow. We are taught and think color theory when it comes to art, but rarely do we apply this knowledge to our eye shadow selecting. And unless we have taken art at some point, we may not have a clue about color theory. Thus the reason for all the incorrect eye shadow colors being touted around town! When you apply color theory to selecting eye shadow colors, your eyes look their best!

Ok, who am I kidding, you’re not asking that at all.

Like I always say, this award will mean much more when we have hundreds of thousands of visitors each month…it’s coming, how am I so certain?

Because our ultimate goal is to help women rid themselves of their dreadful closet full of clothes and nothing to wear – and because over 90% of women have this dreadful closet – I know we will reach a time when magazines are vying for that coveted article of the month award. For now I realize no one is banging my door down – in fact no one really cares right now.

Any who, we give the award to whatever article we feel has the most useful fashion information of the month. By useful, I mean fashion information that real women can actually use. I love, love, love the article; “Get the Layered Look” – Lucky Mag January 2013. (As usual I am behind the times – story of my life!)

Why do I live this article? Because layering is so cool, whenever I see it in the magazines I think cool. Yet when I attempt to reproduce the layered looks, I end up looking like a cross between being dressed for a round of strip poker and the Michelin tire man. (Let the records show I do not actually play strip poker!)

I have often thought, why can’t I layer like they do in the magazines?

Congrats to In Style Magazine for being named Achievable Fashion’s Article of the Month! What an honor! OK — it will be much more of an honor when we have 250,000 visitors a month, so for anyone visiting can you please share us with your friends.

So exactly what does it mean to be Achievable Fashions Article of the Month? Let me begin with our mission.

Achievable Fashion has one mission – to rid every woman of her closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. We do this by first helping women build the essential Basic Classic Wardrobe – second, we help women update their look seasonally by bringing the runways to real life. Thirdly we place the greatest fashion information in one place so women don’t have to search for it. Really, who has time?

Each month we sift and sort through the sea of fashion information and report the good stuff. We then place the good stuff here, on the Achievable Fashion Magazine. Out of the good stuff, we select what we feel is the most useful article and give it the coveted, “Article of the Month Award”.

This month, without question, the honor goes to In Styles, “Best of the Web – 2012.” In Style Magazine searched through the sea of websites and picked the best of the best. They did the work for you and I! Thanks In Style!

I have not had time to scan each site, but the ones I did are amazing, so enjoy!

So, August was the last time that I announced an Article of the Month. It’s not that there hasn’t been an article worthy of this high honor; it’s that I can’t seem to get a grip and do my work.

I don’t know if it’s me or that my life is too busy. Ok who am I kidding, I know it is most likely my misuse of the time I have. For some reason I would rather spend what time I do have obsessing over what little time I have instead of being productive.

Back to Lucky Magazine’s, “Your Perfect Shoe Closet.” It is my job to find any and all useful fashion information and place it on the Achievable Fashion Magazine. By useful, you should know by now, I mean any fashion information us real ladies can use. My mission is to rid women of the befuddlement that fashion usually brings.

My mission begins with ridding women of that pesky closet full of clothes and nothing to wear – got one? Get our Book and get rid of it!!!’

Part of getting rid of that nonsense we call a closet is to get rid of what we don’t need and fill it with what we do need.

Problem – most of us don’t know what we should have. Solution – my book and great articles like this.

The Achievable Fashion Magazine is a collection of the best articles, products and fashion information found from the sea of information out there. We search through all the fashion information out there and highlight the useful stuff.

Achievable Fashion is not interested in recreating the wheel. We are interested in finding really great fashion information and placing it in one place so that real women can have access to it! We find it, report it, and link to it so you can read it.

From all the great information we feel is report worthy, we than select what we feel is the best of the best. For an article to be the best it must be in line with our mission along with useful to many.

The coveted article of the month goes to, Lucky Magazine’s “45 Amazing New Ways to Get Dressed in the Morning”. So, exactly what is the article of the month? The Achieve Fashion Magazine is a collection of the most useful fashion information. Information for real women. Each month I search and sort through the sea of fashion information available and report just the useful stuff. I think sometimes the fashion industry forgets that most women are real women and not supermodels or ultra-rich.

We know real women do not have time to search the sea of fashion info out there, so we do it for you. After the searching, sorting and reporting is done, we select the info we feel is most useful and give it the coveted, “Article of the Month” award!

If you are familiar with Achievable Fashion then you know this article is right up our ally! If you are new to us, you should know that our mission is to rid every woman of her closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. We believe less is more when it comes to clothing and are dedicated to help real women become fashion savvy.

This article is perfect. It shows how to get 45 outfits from 19 pieces. The 19 pieces are a collection of basic wardrobe essentials and trends from this season. When following along with this article don’t be afraid to substituted pieces. For example, I do not have a polka-dotted dress but I do have a LBD (thanks to the Achievable Fashion Basic Classic Wardrobe.) So where the polka-dotted dress is shown I substitute my LBD.

The key, as always, is to make sure the pieces you have fit you like a glove and make you look and feel amazing! If you don’t like how a piece fits and looks, you won’t wear it and it will become part of your closet full of clothes and nothing to wear!
