I am convinced that many of us can’t seem to get fashion / beauty right simply because we have no time to do so. I remember wishing for one place I could go to and get all the fashion and beauty info I needed. Trends, how to info, just any and all info I needed to make my fashion journey a bit smoother. I longed for one place that would keep me updated and in the know on all things fashion and beauty. Not only did I want this place to keep me updated with current trends, I wanted it to help me, an everyday woman add these trends into my life. Looking back, all I really wanted was someone to tell me what was in and where I could get it. Because this “place” didn’t exist I decided to create it myself.

I guess the jokes on me, because now that I created it, it takes a ton of work with equates to a ton of time. In case you are new to us, Achievable Fashion and The Achievable Fashion Beauty Report are for the un-fashionistas of the world. They are for every day ladies, who I believe, rule the world. I affectionately call us every day ladies, the masses.

Nail Trend Alert – Glitter all the Way!

I don’t call these trends, ripped from the magazines for nothing. See the ripped edges! LOL!

Remember my gig, I search through the sea of fashion and beauty info out there, and report only the useful stuff. By useful I mean the stuff us every day ladies can actually use / add into our lives!

When I look for friends of Achievable Fashion Beauty Report, I look for a few things. First and foremost I look for people and companies who make women’s beauty journey a bit simpler. I am on a mission to help women achieve beauty – easily and inexpensively. When I say beauty I mean inner beauty, health and nutrition, along with outer beauty. Arbonne SeaSource Detox Wrap!

I love these detoxifying spa products from Arbonne! When I met Kathy, Arbonne rep, she introduced me to the detoxifying spa line. Because I am all about detoxifying I was immediately interested in trying the line. I am convinced that the reason many of hold on to extra weight is that we are filled with toxins. The more I read and study about the negative effects of toxins the more I am convinced of this. I am also convinced that toxins speed up the aging process, yikes!

Needless to say when Kathy offered to let me try the detox wrap, I jumped at the chance. First I have to tell you, you know the products are working when they are on. Once I had the wrap on it tingled which let me know it was working. The wrap was simple to do and surprisingly, not that messy. You know that some wraps and spa products can be a bear and a mess.

Immediately after I took the wrap off, I had lost 3/4 of an inch. The next day I lost an additional 1/2 inch. So with my first wrap I lost a total of 1 ¼ inches.

I was thrilled! There is nothing that will jump start weight loss like a little detoxifying. I was excited and motivated with my inch and a quarter loss!

Apply Color Theory to Eye Shadow – Beauty Report Article of the Month!

I have found the first Achievable Fashion Beauty Report Article of the Month! (I am so excited!)

Let’s review who gets the coveted Article of the Month Award. As you know, I spend my time trolling the web and flipping through magazines to find useful information that will help women along their fashion and beauty journey. I decided to do this because whenever I needed fashion or beauty information I would search for hours only to come up with a bunch of nonsense. Nonsense that was geared for the ultra-young, ultra – rich, ultra – beautiful and ultra – thin.

I became overwhelmed, confused and annoyed every time I needed information on either fashion or beauty. Because I was overwhelmed, confused and annoyed I thought others might be too. Because the fashion and beauty world seemed to cater to the “Ultras “of the world I decided to create a website that would cater to everyday women, which I affectionately refer to as the masses! With that, I have made it my job to sift through the sea of fashion and beauty information, throw out the nonsense and report the useful stuff, you know the stuff we real ladies – the masses – can use. Whatever article I feel is the most useful of the articles I find each month gets the coveted Article of the Month Award!

Any who, back to the first ever Beauty Article of the Month. I love this article, “Handy Hint – Makeup Color Wheels.” I love it because I don’t think many of us know what we are doing when it comes to selecting eye shadow. I know that before I began researching makeup, what colors to wear, how to apply, should I wear shimmer, etc. I had no clue what I was doing. All I knew was that some days my eye makeup looked good and other days it did not. I had absolutely no clue why it looked good sometimes or why it looked horrid other times.

When it comes to making our eyes look amazing there are many things we need to know. One of the things we need to know is which colors work best for the color of our eyes. Although there are not hard core rules these days when it comes to eye shadow color, there are some definite colors that will highlight your eyes and make them pop! Utilizing color theory when selecting eye shadow will have your eyes standing out, not the eye shadow.

Although using color theory when selecting eye shadow color will have our eyes looking there best, color theory is not something we usually associate with eye shadow. We are taught and think color theory when it comes to art, but rarely do we apply this knowledge to our eye shadow selecting. And unless we have taken art at some point, we may not have a clue about color theory. Thus the reason for all the incorrect eye shadow colors being touted around town! When you apply color theory to selecting eye shadow colors, your eyes look their best!

Get Rid of Dark Circles!

Dark circles under the eyes may be one of the most common issues we have. I love it when I find an article that addresses common issues. How do we get rid of those pesky dark circles under our eyes? First and foremost make sure you are getting enough sleep, lack of sleep will surely have those dark circles under your eyes looking their worst.

Busy ladies need things as simple as possible. That’s why I love this article simple and easy! Pay close attention when placing concealer on your dark areas, making sure to only get the concealer where it is dark. Think outline and fill in the lines… remember back to coloring!

I love this article, “Perfect Bronzer in 3 Simple Steps” – Oprah Magazine. I love this article because I think there is a fine line between looking sun kissed and looking a bit like Bozo the Clown. In fact I am quite sure that many of us have no clue what we are doing when we pick up their bronzing bushes.

This article shows you how to apply bronzer. We can now be sun kissed and not clown kissed!

Eat Your Way To Great Skin!

Have you ever thought, “Boy do I wish I could find the fountain of youth?” Or have you looked in the mirror and thought, holy crap I look old and not so good. If either thought has crossed your mind, let me share two things with you. One, the fountain of youth is not that far away, and two, you have control – to some degree on how graceful of ungraceful you age.

What we put in our mouth, what we eat, can have a big impact on how we look and how we age.

I have always been obsessed with any information that links beauty and youth to nutrition. My obsession has lead me to know a lot of tidbits on the subject. It seemed people were always wildly impressed with my tidbits of info on nutritional beauty which is why I created a nutritional beauty section on The Achievable Fashion Beauty Report.

I figure, instead of keeping these nuggets of information – golden nuggets, to myself I should share them. I am constantly searching for them anyway, why not share them and save you the time.
