The Look for Less – May / June W Flip

I have just completed flipping through the May/June issue of W Magazine. Of course, as always, I enjoyed flipping cover to cover.  Pages filled with beautiful people adorned with the lasted and greatest in fashion. Beautiful page after beautiful page… Take the needle off the record!

As much as I appreciated page after page filled with frivolous pomp, noting was very practical.  There wasn’t anything I could add to my life. This is the disconnect between the fashion world and closets everywhere. Since one of my jobs is to create a bridge from the fashion magazines to your closet;  I selected 5 favorites from this flip and, you guessed it, found practical alternatives.(Images are not mine  —  screen shots from W Magazine.)

This bright pink look is fabulous! BUT, not practical. The gorgeous top, found at Macys, is the practical way to wear the look.

Love, love, love this shoe!!! I did not search this shoes origin, however, it is most likely way over budget! Also the heel is not practical. We found a practical version at Payless.
