Who has a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear?  Ok, most women, including my former self do. So the question is, why do we have closets and draws bursting at the seams with clothes and yet never have anything to wear?

 

 

There are 2 main reasons:

 

  1.  Most women do not have the essential wardrobe items necessary to make a great working wardrobe.  Without certain key wardrobe pieces you will never have a wardrobe that works.   Fix this by getting our Book.  Our book will walk you through building a Basic Classic Wardrobe.   1. Most women have poor fitting clothes.  Many women have no clue how to dress for their body shape – in fact most are clueless as to what their shape is.  Without the proper fit even the best essential wardrobe items won’t do justice. Fix this by checking out the great site we found, Shop Your Shape.  Shop Your Shape has a body shape calculator.  You put in your chest, waist and hip measurements they calculate your body type.  Once you know your body see the great tips on how to dress you specific shape. 

 

I can remember being so frustrated with my closet that I actually dreaded going anywhere – not because I was a social misfit, but because I never had anything to wear.  For many years, although my closet and draws were full, bursting at the seams, I never had anything to wear.   Try as I may, no matter how many times I changed my outfits I always left the house feeling less than impressive. 

 

I created Achievable Fashion out of my own desperation to get fashion right. Once and for all I wanted to get a grip on my closet and wardrobe.  I wasn’t aiming to be a fashion icon – because that will never happen – I just wanted to get dressed and feel like I looked decent and maybe even good. 

 

Our mission is to make fashion effortless for real women.  We do this in 3 steps. 1. Help women build a Basic Classic Wardrobe. 2. Help women update their look seasonally by reporting the current trends and  showing easy and inexpensive ways to add  them to the Basic Classic Wardrobe.  3. Report useful fashion info. We  Sift Sort and Report any useful fashion information real women can actually use. With so much information out there who has time to sort through it all.   We search the sea of fashion information so you don’t have to.

We all know colorblocking is in. However, do any of us know exactly what colorblocking is? If you are like me you think you know, but if challenged to put a colorblocking out fit together you may not do so well. In fact until I watched this video I would most likely have found myself on the fashion pages of what not to do, colorblocking gone wrong!
Because our mission is to help real women on their fashion journey we set out to find a simple way to teach you how to colorblock like an expert! We sifted through the sea of fashion information out there and found a great video that is in real women language. This colorblocking video from Refinery 29 will make you an expert on the subject! *I am in no way a fashion expert with a fancy fashion degree!
